Moonstruck Farms opened in Spring 2008 in Phelan, California with a five year growth plan. Our current season will offer a variety of greens, onions, garlic, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, green beans, herbs, and eggs. We are not certified organic, but use only organic methods to provide you with the freshest, safest, healthiest picked produce available.

In the egg area our “girls” are a variety of breeds from Rhode Island Red to Barred Rock. Our brown egg layers are fed from right here on the farm to provide you with the freshest and highest nutritional quality eggs possible. They are fed a standard layer feed to ensure their protein and vitamin needs are met, but the majority of their diet consists of vegetables from the farm and a cover crop called vetch grown especially for them to meet their protein and vitamin needs in the most natural way possible. As a result of this kind of diet their eggs have higher amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, vitamin A, folic acid and carotenoids and lower cholesterol.

Our five year plan includes experimenting in the area of berries, potatoes, carrots, lavender, cut flowers, and goat milk products.
